St John and the Ciy Defibrillator Project

St John and the City are grateful to Royal Bank of Scotland which has become a Project Donor.

At the Royal Bank of Scotland, our purpose is to serve customers well.  We serve millions of customers and our aim is to consistently meet their needs wherever they find us.

We are changing our culture and priorities.  Our plan is to be centred in the UK and Ireland and totally focused on giving our customers the best possible service.  To do that we must become Stronger, Simpler and Fairer.  We want to be No.1 for customers service, trust and advocacy by 2020.

Over the last few years RBS have been able to support local communities by housing defibrillators donated by local charities or groups within some of our branches.  As a result of these success stories Branch Workplace Services a team within RBS were encouraged and motivated to think about how they could further support other communities, customers and colleagues.  Agreement was obtained for other branches within our portfolio to receive a defibrillator which launched a pilot project within Scotland incorporating 12 branches receiving a defibrillator.  It was shortly after this that RBS attended the Lord Provost's launch event for 'St John and The City' which was a great opportunity for us to fully understand the project.  This Edinburgh based project is something that RBS seen as such an invaluable initiative and supported this by donating 11 defibrillators to St John Scotland.
